This unique and practical tool is designed to provide fast and easy removal of a hook, particularly when a quick and safe release of a catch is desired. The streamlined profile and special angled design of these lightweight pliers allow for full view to see where the hook is lodged and, more importantly, to have non-obstructed access to its removal. In addition, the angled design prevents your hand or fingers from accidentally coming in contact with any sharp teeth, which can be a major concern when trying to remove a deeply-lodged hook from a northern pike, muskellunge, chain pickerel, barracuda, sharks or members of the mackerel family, just to name a few toothy species.

In addition to predator fish with large mouths and sharp teeth, the Angled Hook-Removal Pliers work equally well for removing hooks from fish with small mouths, such as members of the Sunfish family. The finely serrated jaws at the end of the pliers provide a secure grip to handle the smallest flies and to safely grasp the most delicate flies. The large finger loops provide more comfortable handling and operation of the pliers, including quick access to opening, locking and unlocking them.

The serrated jaws of the pliers can be locked in position whenever needed. Also, the Angled Hook-Removal Pliers feature a non- glare finish, but the finish is not corrosive resistant in neither marine nor freshwater environments. As a result, it is suggested the Angled Hook-Removal Pliers be wiped dry after every use. The pliers should also be cleaned periodically with a soft cloth saturated with WD-40 or a light oil to preclude the finish from becoming rusted or blemished.
